The only thing more exciting than the O condom endorsements on the radio right now is probably Obama’s candidacy for the American Presidency. Needless to say, for many, even this is all about O! And to borrow a phrase from the rubber guys, its got to be O this November (not just tonight!)

I know. I am one of the big Obama fans (fanatics more like) in this country. Got the T-shirt. Three actually! And topped that up with the pen, the key chain, the bumper stickers, the… I know, I know, Its my column but I shouldn’t turn it into a bragfest. But even then, I was quite surprised, jealous probably, to find that there are many people in this dusty city, many times zones away from the Obama craze, that are probably even more into the man than I am.

Yes, it’s a craze. In Kenya, they have named back alley roads after him and matatus are emblazoned with picture and text and on another of those idle moments, it hit me that if this continues any longer than the November elections, it might get out of hand. At this rate, this Obama madness will become integral in our everyday lives and the word and derivatives get entrenched in the English language.

In readiness for that, we give you a few to start with:

Obamic           adjective.         Of or like Obama. Phenomenal. (Usage example: This idea is Obamic)

Obamically     adjective.         In a way consistent with Obama’s style. Phenomenally (Usage example: That chic dances Obamically)

Obamatic        adjective.         In a way Obama would do things. Unorthodox. (Usage example: The way that guy makes his Rolex is Obamatic. He adds carrots and green pepper )

Obamate         verb.                Involve oneself in doing things Obamally.  (Usage example: He likes to Obamate everything he does.)

Obamation     noun                Involvement in Obamatic acts. (Usage example: I would like to see some more Obamation at the work place. Not your usual uncreative routine.)

Obamatise      verb                 To do things the Obamatic way. (Usage example: Lets Obamatise this promotion.)

Obamally        adjective          In a way Obama would. (Usage example: Our preacher speaks Obamally)

Obamise         verb                 To make Obamic. (Usage example: Lets Obamise our campaign)

Obamology     noun                The study of the Obama Phenomenon.

Obamatomy   noun                The science of the Obama Phenomenon.

Obamination  noun                A situation or object that is

Obamopia      noun                The stupidity surrounding this craze as exhibited by the                 ability for someone to write an entire article about it and countless others to spend the time reading it.

Obamopiphobia   noun          The denial that you are one of the people suffering.
